FAQs
Will you guide and help us pose for our photos?
Absolutely! I completely understand how strange it can feel to have a camera pointed at you. My photo style is candid and natural; for example, I’ll have you go on a walk while holding hands and ask you to talk about your first date. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable at all times during your photo session.
How long does it take for the photos to come back to us?
Engagement photo albums take between 2 – 4 weeks. Wedding photo albums and videos take between 8 – 12 weeks. If you request any additional photos or videos after you receive your initial wedding album, I’ll discuss turnaround times with you personally.
How many photos will we receive?
For your engagement photo session, expect to receive between 50 to 100 photos. For weddings, please refer to the Investment section. On average, I will photograph 60 photos per hour on your wedding day, however this is subject to the schedule of the day, weather, and willingness of guests to participate.
What if the weather is bad?
I’m all about embracing what we’re given. The weather in Australia is quickly changing, and forecasts will sometimes have us over (or under) prepare. Rain or shine, I will always make your photos work on the day, even if that means a last-minute change of plan. Your wedding venue will always have a rainy day backup in place, and I always work closely with your coordinator to make sure we get the best photos.
Do I need to feed you during the reception?
Yes please. Hungry photographer = sad photographer.
Will you retouch my photos in detail?
My photography packages offer colour correction and basic retouching. I am a big promoter of self-love and encourage all my clients to embrace the little things that make them so unique. What this means, is that I am happy to adjust any minor bruises, blemishes or sunburn that otherwise wouldn’t be present in a few days-time.
I do not retouch physique or major background distractions.
Can I get the RAWs straight from the camera?
The short answer is no. I only provide full-service photography and videography and all files delivered will be the final version.
How far in advance can I book you?
Bookings are open 24 months in advance. Please contact me directly if your wedding date is beyond this time period.
Will you get candid photos of our guests?
Yes – I absolutely will! I love capturing the raw and authentic moments during weddings. Please note however, candid photos are subject to your guests’ willingness to participate. This means that if they purposefully shy away from the camera or refuse photos, I will not be able to capture as many candid moments.
How do we pay? Do you provide receipts?
Payment details are included in the quote sent to you. I provide receipts after all transactions for your records.
What happens if we miss a payment?
If you have missed your deposit deadline, please make sure to communicate to me whether you intend to keep your date and I will extend the deadline. Please ensure that all outstanding payments are finalised two weeks before your wedding date. I will not be able to release your wedding photos until I receive the final payment.
Do you charge travel fees?
If your wedding venue is more than 1 hour outside of Brisbane, yes. Travel fees are a flat rate calculated at the time of your booking.
We’re private people. Can we request our photos NOT be posted on social media?
Absolutely. Please let me know if this is the case, as I will need to amend your contract accordingly.
